ATTENDANCE POLICY
Attendance will be checked regularly. You may earn 3% extra credit on your test average if you have no more than 4 absences. Absences may be excused if falling under University-approved excuses.

HOMEWORK
Homework exercises from the text are listed on the standard MAC1114 syllabus. These are not graded but will be used as a basis for test questions. CAPA assignments are graded and will make up 10% of the final course average.

TESTS
There will be 4 regular tests and a final exam. The lowest regular test grade will be dropped. The remaining tests will account for a total of 60% (ie 20% each) of the course average, and the final exam will be 25%. Makeups will be given only when the absence occurs due to religious observances, medical reasons, family emergencies, or official University functions and when accompanied by appropriate documentation.

GRADING POLICY
Tests: 20% for each of the three highest; CAPA: 10%; Quizzes: 5%; Final: 25%.
