ATTENDANCE POLICY
Regular attendance is expected and is required to be eligible to receive an NC grade.

HOMEWORK
Homework will not be collected. However, doing it is essential.

TESTS
Eleven skills quizzes, worth in total the equivalent of one exam. Laboratories using the Maple computer algebra system, worth in total the equivalent of one exam. Five one-hour exams. A comprehensive final worth two exams.THERE ARE NO MAKE-UP SKILLS QUIZZES OR EXAMS.

GRADING POLICY
The lowest skills quiz grade will be dropped. The lowest exam grade will be dropped unless the final grade is lower than all exam grades. In this case all exam grades will be counted but the final will be worth the equivalent of only one exam grade rather than two.

90 - 100% A
80 - 90% B
70 - 80% C
0 - 70% F

NC POLICY
If you attend regularly, take all quizzes and exams, and have a final average of at least 50% then No Credit (NC grade) will be awarded in place of an F.

IMPORTANT DATES
Withdrawal deadline: October 11, 2002. Final examination date will be announced in class. It will not be at the normal time associated with the class since it will be joint with another class.
