ATTENDANCE POLICY
Attendence will be checked in each class meeting. A sign-in sheet will be passed out at each class period (either at the beginning or the end of class).

TESTS
Quizzes: Approximately ten (10) quizzes will be given in the discussion session. Test Dates: Test 1: Monday February 5; Test 2: Monday February 26; Test 3: Friday March 23; Test 4: Wednesday April 11; Final Exam: Wednesday April 25 (1300-1550) -- Dr. Hopen; Monday April 30 (1000-1250) -- Dr. Vajravelu.

GRADING POLICY
Grade Deistribution: 4 class tests: 50%;10 quizzes: 10% ; CAPA homework: 15% ; final exam: 25%. Attend lecture 80% or more: up to 3% extra credit.

80% - 89% B
70% - 79% C
0 - 69% F

NC POLICY
If you attend 80% or more of the lectures , get at least a 70% average on CAPA, and have a final course average of at least 50%, then "No Credit" (NC Grade) will be awarded in place of an F.

OTHER INFORMATION
CLASS STRUCTURE: Discussion sessions are a place designed to answer questions that might be difficult to answer in a large lecture setting. We will mainly go over homework problems and key concepts. Course material will not be covered in the discussion sessions; that will be done in your lecture class.
