ATTENDANCE POLICY
Please inform the instructor in advance if you plan to miss a class, if you need to leave early or if you are expecting to be late. Attendance will be checked randomly. At the discretion of the instructor, attendance could affect a "borderline" grade.

TESTS
There will be 3 tests, of 50 min. length. Exams are 100 pts. each, the final is 200 pts, the remaining 100 pts. come from quizzes. 25% of your quizzes with the lowest scores will be dropped.
The tentative schedule is:
Test 1 - Jan. 31
Test 2 - Feb. 26
Test 3 - Mar. 28.

You can earn up to 600 pts. Exams are 100 pts. each, the final is 200 pts, the remaining 100 pts. come from quizzes. 25% of your quizzes with the lowest scores will be dropped.

OTHER INFORMATION
Course policy: We need to cover approximately four sections per week. Tests are comprehensive. There are no make-up tests. In the case of a legitimate excuse (to be determined by the instructor) score for the missed test will be substituted by the score of the last test in the course. Graded tests are to be retained until the end of the course. Quizzes are based on the home assignment problems and will be given at the instructor's discretion.
