ATTENDANCE POLICY Attendance will be taken a minimum of once a week. You can be awarded up to 3 percentage points of extra credit toward your final course grade for good attendance (no more 3 unexcused absences).

HOMEWORK You are given assignments from the textbook after each lecture, and you are assigned online homework problems called CAPA. Your CAPA average is worth 10% of your final course grade. It is very important that you do homework regularly. You should spend at least two hours working on homework outside of class for every hour you spend in class.

TESTS Four class tests are 60% of your final grade, the lowest test grade will be dropped, i.e. each test is 20%.
|
GRADING POLICY Tests are 60%, final exam is 25%, CAPA homework 10%, and attendance quizes are 5%.

NC POLICY If you attend 80% or more of the lectures, take all tests, and have a final average of at least 50% then No Credit (NC grade) will be awarded in place of an F.
