ATTENDANCE POLICY
Attendance for this clas will be taken regularly. If a student misses no more than 4 classes during the term then a bonus of 3% will be added to the student's final avergae.

HOMEWORK
Homework will be assigned in each class. It is expected that students try those problems and solve them.

TESTS
There will be four tests and quizzes. Each quizzes will consist of one question and the students are required to answer the question on a 3"x5" notecard. There will be atleast one quiz per week.
The days of the first two tests are:
Test 1: May 24, 2002
Test 2: June 14, 2002

GRADING POLICY
The final grade will be based on 4 tests and weekly quizzes. The grade distribution will be as follows:
4 tests: 90%
Quizzes: 10%

GRADING SCALE

AverageGrade
90 - 100% A
80 - 89% B
70 - 79% C
0 - 69% F

NC POLICY
If you attend 80% or more of the lectures, take all tests, and have a final average of at least 50% then No Credit (NC grade) will be awarded in place of an F.

IMPORTANT DATES
Withdrawal deadline: June 14.
Holidays: Memorial day, May 27, 2002.
Independence day, July, 4, 2002.
